Excellent product! I am not very computer literate and found this to be amazingly simple. Within about a half hour I developed an impressive 1.25 hour slideshow of a trip to Scandinavia with music and a variety of interesting morphs into the next photos.
I do not know what some of the other reviewers had difficulty with unless it was a compatibility problem. The software walks you through the whole process and explains everything very well with use of the HELP selection, from burning music (first time for me) to setting the time for viewing a photo, setting the time for the magical transition to the next photo, selecting a front page photo with title, and burning it onto a DVD-R.
I highly recommend this product! It is made simple enough for beginners yet provides a professional production.
 Very poor product March 18, 2006
I also bought this product and was dissapointed as it simply does not work on my machine. Yes it is easy to create a slideshow that looks and sounds great in the preview, but when I burn it to DVD, either the audio won't play at all , or in one case the speed was 2 times normal speed. Unless you want Alvin and The Chipmonks to do all the music on your slide show- forget this product. Also the support was poor. After two questions they just said "check the help instructions", which of cource was no help. I don't recomend this product unless you know in advance the DVD's you burn will play ok. It does not work on my machine.

I was very dissappointed with this product! At first glance, I thought it was a great value for the money. I suppose it still would be compared to similar products if I could only get it to recognize either of my writeable drives. I purchased this product at Costco.
I contacted tech support and downloaded updated databases. I actually did this before and again after contacting support. This did not work so I am still waiting on another response from tech support.
By the way...I believe this item IS returnable to the manufacturer. Check the manufacturer's website! They give instructions for returning the product if you are not satisfied. I will be doing this myself if I do not get some workable solutions.

Well...I finally received a response back from tech support. They did/could not help me any further. In fact, their only suggestion is that I return the product for a refund which is exactly what I will do. I knew this was too good a value for the money to be true. I am currently looking at Pro Show Gold. I have downloaded the trial version and so far it seems to work with my hardware. The price comparison is not even close, but then you tend to get what you pay for.
As for this product, I would not recommend it to anyone. The only saving grace is the return policy!

I am not sure what the first reviewer's problem was, but using the help screen, I made a DVD in about 10 minutes. You just add the pictures, add any audio file or record yourself, and compile. To make a DVD it did take about 2 and a half hours (it's a lot of data) but I was able to play the DVD on my recorder.The help screen on the program gives step by step instructions with illustrations. Very easy, simple, and clean to make DVD slide shows.
Don't Waste Your Time or Money June 28, 2004

I bought this, and what a waste! The instructions are about a paragraph long, and the program is NOT user friendly. When I called their technical support program, which is NOT 24 hour or an 800 number, the technicans were out to lunch! What a joke! I really wish that software was returnable!
