love it, great deal, easy to use.. even pros recomend June 2, 2008 I have bought this program over a year ago and still love it. I have just recently updated from a ps sony cam to a slr canon rebel cam and I still love photo impact, or better I love it even more. It is a great program and you can do a lot of special effect, color effects and so on. It comes with a few extra programs to organize and store pics as well. It has object converting which allows you to bring your pics to life..I dont think there is a better program out there especially for the price it is offered on here right now. I would def recomend and buy again.
Love it, love it, love it January 4, 2007 The last time I used PhotoImpact was way back in version 7. PI 10 is such a vast improvement! Wonderful features and effects! Fabulous painting tools! This Nova Pro version is wonderful with the inclusion of the free Xenofex 2 filter set. I highly recommend this product.
Good to have, worth the money invested July 20, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I enjoy using this software. There are a lot of features that are easy to use and can easily make a picture look better in just a couple of steps, such as the express-fix feature, which allows you to touch up photos in one quick step. I have used this software to edit several of my photos and also to create some custom photos for my website.
Unfortunately I am not willing to spend the money that it costs to get Adobe Photoshop, so I can't tell you if this software is better than, worse than, or just as good as Adobe. But, for my money, and my limited experience with photo software, this software seems to do the trick.
Depends on it's Purpose April 17, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this product after hearing good things about it. I am an amateur web graphics designer and was hoping I could use it for my graphics. I bought it and when I told my friend about it, she bought a copy to, to use to design her graphics. Well, she got the hang of it almost immeadiately but I still can't use it! The tools confuse me and never seem to work right. It also doesn't have brushes like PSP and Photoshop. You can use PSP tubes w/ PIP's stamp tool, but those aren't the same. Photo editing, that's a different story. It has great editing tools that are very easy to use. As an amateur photographer as well, it comes in handy sometimes. But overall, I think I will switch to PSP.
This Software Rocks! October 8, 2005 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I have used the previous version of Photo Impact (8.5) and I just recently bought version 10. It rocks! I use it mostly for web graphics and I must say it outperforms any program out there (that I have used anyway). It is not the resource hog that the same named program by Ulead is, but has just as many options/presets/capabilities. I find it very "user-friendly" and will never go back to PSP (Paint Shop Pro)! The graphics created with this program are so very clear and sharp that some have compared it to PhotoShop which is VERY expensive.
I would recommend this program to anyone wanting to make web graphics or edit photos. It is very capable of creating phenominal results for either.
