Photoshop Elements 5.0 September 27, 2007 Works fine for basic photo editing. We have fulll version at work and this was just to do minor changes at home.
Photoshop September 22, 2007 Very useful for amatuers and professionals. I do recommend buying Scott Kelby's manual along with the program if you have no prior knowledge of photoshop, it's very helpful. The Photoshop Elements 5 Book for Digital Photographers (VOICES)
Advanced editing for your photos September 15, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This may be a great soft ware item for editing your own pictures but it is very hard for me to get into more than just the basics which I can do quicker and more easily with Kodak Easy Share. I need a training course to use this properly, I'm afraid.

I am very excited about the elements 5.0 software. I have done many projects with it already. The online help is great. I recommend this software to everyone. I had always heard good things about photoshop software and now I know first hand why.
Great for Newbies or Experienced Pros September 8, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I read almost all the reviews of others and thought I'd try sampling the product via the trial version before I actually bought it. I was so impressed with it that I purchased it the very next week! This product is packed with great features and it's easy to use right out of the box if you have intermediate to advanced skills in this type of software. If you're like me with no skills in photo editing software, you should get the book Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 Classroom In a Book and work the program hand in hand to really learn your way around otherwise you'll be frustrated. Once you get the hang of all the features, which are quite simple, you'll have a ball. It's great for easily storing, retrieving, editing and sharing all your digital photos. I haven't learned everything there is to know about the software yet but the features I really enjoy the most are (1) Tags which lets you add a special keyword to photos to quickly locate specific shots (2) Catalog which links to all your photos on your computer like a database (3) Stacks which lets your keep your shot bursts all together instead of having 30 of the same picture spread out to sort through (4) Date View which lets you find pictures by date taken (5) Smart Fix that instantly corrects issues related to exposure, lighting, red eye, etc. (6) Instant Photo Development using Ofoto Kodak Gallery right inside the program and (7) The ability to instantly turn a color photo into a black/white image.
