It does not come off the camera... January 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this primarily for the extra battery power but with the vertical shutter release, this is a must have accessory. I have only taken it off the camera once and that was to get the serial number off the camera. Highly recommended.
Works great, No problems. January 1, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I had looked at the other non-brand grips and read a lot of reviews and decided that you get what you pay for. Everything worked fine for me straight out of the box.
Excellent Product December 31, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Makes life sooo much easier when shooting portrait for a long period of time, especially with a spot for a second batter, or you can replace both normal batteries with 6 AA's, haven't tried it as I have two 40D batteries, but neat option nonetheless.
If you do need a spare battery look at SterlingTek, *very* popular site among photographers for their cheap (but as good or even better than Canon, higher mAH) batteries.
A must have but it's missing something... December 29, 2007 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
For me the battery grip is a must have, not so much for the extra battery but for the feel and improved balance with larger lenses. When I purchased the 40D I immediately picked up the BG-E2N as well. It's exactly the same as the BG-E2 (except for new weather seal around battery door) so no complaints in that regard but they left out something huge... Where's the AF-on button for the vertical grip? C'mon Canon, you included that button for the new WiFi WFT-E3A grip so why not on the new BG-E2N?
New Canon BG-E2N December 29, 2007 Awesome grip for the money....I paid 170.00 for the same grip that Best Buy and Camera Stores want 249.00 for....
THANKS AMAZON..
