I bought this sight unseen based on a cute David pogue NYT video. Over half the time when you turn it on it will not record. Instructions are minimal. trying to down load images onto my Mac leopard was also no breeze . so, contrary to David pogue, you get what you pay for on the cheap Next to nothing!
They should tell you that you need to buy the Ultra to use this product April 21, 2008

I bought the tripod but it is completely useless because I didn't buy the Ultra. They should make this clear. I had to destroy the packaging and didn't feel I could return it.

This is really neat and lightweight. Hovever, it doesn't work with the White Flip Video. Still, a good product.

This tripod is the perfect accessory to the Flip Ultra Video Camcorder. I only wish I had ordered it sooner. It is an incredible value and greatly expands how you can use your camcorder. On this video, which is less than two minutes, I show you the tripod and how it can attach to various items. Then I let you see it work in action as I use a tripod for the first time. It will especially appeal to novice vloggers (like me) because it is so very easy to use!

Glad I bought this March 29, 2008
When people saw my little tripod they laughed, but I am so glad I have it. The tripod has come in handy so many times in the last few months that I have had it. I can tape things on TV and put it on my computer. Any place that there is a service you can place it there and people won't even notice it is sitting there.
You can wrap the legs around things too just make sure it is screwed on well.
As people have said it is really well made and a great price.
