Love this one November 9, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the replacement of my old Canon 10D. Compare to 10D, there are several things I really like it: first is the 3" screen as I know is largest cureently which let you view the picture clearly. The size is big help to my old eyes. Second the pictures replay on camera are much faster almost immidiately after you took. The third one is "screen cleaning" performed everytime you turn on and off camera which I have not notice any difference yet but I hope it works. The fourth is fast continus shooting, 6.5 pictures per second. I have not used this yet but sure it well help when I go air show. There are several functions more than 10D. 10 mega pixles is not that important to me for most the pictures I took. All the L lenses work with the new camera and I think the quality of picture is depend on lenses. It is little big and heavy than 10D but not much. It is cheap than 10D I paid 5 yeas ago. Overall, I love it.
Good camera. November 9, 2007 5 out of 17 found this review helpful
I upgraded from 300D and am quite impressed by the improvements - speed, focusing, build, extra mega-pixels, etc. But it could have been better given the price tag.
Amazing November 6, 2007 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Before this camera I had a Minolta Dimage A2 and a digital point and shoot. My main subjects are children and other family members. The reason we upgraded was to get a camera that could capture speedy kids and to break into semi-professional photography. This camera is amazingly fast. The kit lens is actually a pretty good lens. It is not a professional $1500 lens, but it is pretty good. The image stabalization is very helpful. If you want great shots for family or are planning on beggining your photography carreer I absolutly recommend this. It is pricy, but well worth it.
Canon 40D Camera November 6, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Love the camera. It is much smoother sounding and operating than my 20D and my Digital Rebel XTi. The display is twice the size of the one on my 20D and 1/2 again as large as the Rebel XTi. Recently went on vacation and took over 3000 shots (yes, 3000) and had no battery or memory card problems. Battery usage is very good and I only had to change the battery twice during my entire vacation. I recommend this camera to amature & professional users alike.
Smokin! November 1, 2007 8 out of 17 found this review helpful
I had a Canon XTi before purchasing this camera. I understand the hype now. The build, features, hand ability are very nice. It's like a cold day in a cheap jacket. You're cold but not freezing and then someone gives you a nice down jacket.... man what a nice jacket!
