A bit disappointing July 5, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bad points: The function button on the back is right where I rest my thumb and have accidentally changed settings. One needs to manually raise the flash which is a little cumbersome. Camera (in silver) is very slippery - easily dropped. Time for saving photos is long - many missed shots. All in all a good value.

Love my new Cannon Camera. Loads of features I've still got so much to learn about using it.
Easy Point & Shoot July 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This camera was recommended by a friend also looking for a point & shoot digital camera with a good zoom. I have been very pleased with the pictures taken so far. Camera is easy to use & I have been able to get great action pics of my kids. Zoom has also been great to capture kids in sports, etc. Even took pics in a low light setting with great results. Highly recommended for people who don't want to mess with lots of settings.
Powerful compact camera for a great price July 2, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've had my Powershot SX100 for over a month now, and it has been very reliable. I consider myself to be in between a casual snapshooter and an amateur photographer. The SX100 is a great choice for anyone else at this level. There's plenty of automatic settings but there's also room to learn with the manual controls. Other customers have said that the control wheel is too easy to accidentally press, but I've never had this problem.
I highly recommend this camera for it's consistency in taking high-quality photos and it's low price.
PROS: -Inexpensive -Easy to navigate -LCD screen is clear, crisp, and bright -Takes great photos -Powerful zoom that works very well
CONS: -No view finder -Battery life isn't great
Perfect for sub DSLR users July 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This camera is point and shoot enough for my wife, and configurable enough for me to setup perfect shots.
