confusing controls January 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchases this as a gift and preloaded photos for my mother-in-law. Because I had purchased a similar product from a different company earlier last year I thought I knew what I was doing. The instructions were confusing and there was no way to load photos into the memory directly from the computer to the frame. A memory card or zip drive was required. This was a last-minute gift and it arrived Christmas Eve or I would have returned it and purchased another product.
digital frame January 22, 2008 Nice frame, images are clear, and sound quailty good. The remote is a nice added feature. all in all a good value compared to the frames I saw in the the stores.
works great !!! January 20, 2008 I bought this as a gift for my mother in law and i set it up for her she loves it so much, so much i found out that she never turns it off,I advised her that she she should turn it off at least at night. Nothing bad has happened to it so i know its a quaity product
Digital Photo Frame January 20, 2008 I purchased a Coby DP-769 Digital Photo Frame, and returned it, as I was disappointed when receiving it. It does not allow you to play music and view photos at the same time. That was my error, as I failed to completely read through this models description before placing my order. I in turn ordered Coby model DP-562, which had the play options I was originally looking for. I have never been disappointed in any of the merchandise I have purchased on Amazon.com and the items have always been promptly shipped.
Confusing to use, but works January 19, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I spent a while trying to figure out how to use this thing. A lot of people say that it is a 16:9 ratio, but I didn't realize what that meant, or that I would need to distort my images to make them look correct on the picture frame. Here is what I did to get the pictures over and working properly. First, push the setup button on the frame or remote, then change under the photo tab to "original" view mode. Now, when you prepare your photos to put them on the frame, crop them to be 960 x 468. Then scale the image to be 720 x 468. It will look like you have distorted the image and made everything "skinny." You did, but when you put it on the picture frame, it will look correct. When you load the images on the frame, click the 16:9 ratio button on the remote. If you click it to be 4:3, it will look as it did on your computer after you distorted it, but the 16:9 button will make it look like the original. Once I figured this all out I was good to go, but until then I felt like throwing it at the wall. I don't know if this will work for everyone, but I hope it helps. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure this out.
