 No AVCHD support March 24, 2008
Don't buy this product if you plan to create AVCHD disks to play on Blu-Ray players.
I bought this product specifically to genereate AVCHD DVD's from my HD camcorder. The AVCHD disks are supposed to play on Blu-Ray disk players. They do not play on my Samsung BD-P1400. Their telephone tech support informed me that there was nothing that could be done to make it work. The AVCHD disks produced by Pannasonic and by Pinnacle play just fine on my player.

I upgraded from ULead's VideoStudio 8.0 to 11 Plus. The installation didn't work as directed and their helpline was not helpful. They blamed it on the camera driver not being one they supported even though it is a relatively new Sony camcorder. So I'm back to using my old 8.0 for capturing video (or one of the many programs that came on my PC) and 11 Plus for editing. Not exactly ideal.

This is why
1 - It took my widescreen and made it a small screen. Even though I had the settings on widescreen
2 - It likes to lock up.
3 - Setting up the menus for the final DVD is a MAJOR PAIN
4 - There is no Save button while you are at the end and making up the menu. So I got there several times and something locked up and I had to spend another hour trying to fix it.
Spend your money somewhere else!

I like this product. It is fairly easy to use and has a lot of the features that I can use. I bought other products that did not fit my primary needs. Mainly editing .AVI home movies. This product edits and saves in the original format. You can download a trial version to see if you like the product. Amazon had a great price [...]That I found nowhere else. I highly recommend it for editing home movies, at least for me.

This product is by far the best one i have ever used. I highly recommend it over any other program out there. I have used numerous other programs and they dont even compare to this one. This product is extremely easy to use and has all of the features you would need to edit your videos and far more. If you are thinking about buying this product i highly recommend doing so you will not be disappointed with it.
