5 out of 5 stars Very good for this price   August 22, 2007

I bought sd750 about a month ago and I am very pleased with it.
Before I buy sd750 I made a deep research on the products at the same level. My other alternatives were Sony and Nikon. But since Sony is too expensive and Nikon cannot satisfy my expectations I decided to buy sd750.

The camera is very thin and elegant and it's LCD is quite big and clear to preview the photos you have taken. Thanks to it's Digic III processor it can auto-focus very quick and it has no problem with the face-recognition algorithm. I was very surpised when It focuses on 3 people when I try to take a photo.

Pros

-Great photo quality
-Short opening time
-Face recognition works well
-LCD is very bright & clear
-Red eye removal tool on the camera (with very ease of use)
-International language support

Cons
-Has some problem with red-eye reduction
-Short battery life (you should buy an extra battery)

Overall it is a very good camera with this price to buy, I would recommend it.

2 out of 5 stars Not Satisfied with this Canon   August 19, 2007

I am really a point and shoot guy when it comes to taking pictures so my idea of buying this camera was its good features and plus it's a canon. I had a canon powershot S30 few years back and it was a really good camera. I have a Sony -H1 now which is really good but it just doesn't fit into my pocket. I wanted something which can be carried around without a big bag hanging over your shoulder. I got this camera after reading thru a lot of reviews but was highly disappointed with the pictures.

The best thing about this camera - its ultra portable and it looks better than most of the other competitive products. The Camera is really fast in terms of powering on and taking instant pictures.

The cons and this is where it really hurts - pictures are not sharp, they look very grainy. The flash is not powerful enough if you take a lot of indoor snaps. It has an awesome LCD display which compounds this problem. The pictures look great on the LCD screen but when you actually download it to your desktop you see a remarkable difference. I did try to play with the settings but that didn't really change much, finally had to return it back.

5 out of 5 stars Love Love Love it!   August 18, 2007

I am a professional photographer and I don't like (or have the space) to carry around my pro cameras with the kids... SO, my husband bought me this and I LOVE IT! It's amazingly fast for a small camera, pictures are amazing, the little features are fun... you can't go wrong with this one.... its so slim too!! and the best part (besides the awesome features) is the screen!!!! SO BIG!!

MY ONLY COMPLAINT:
Along with a lot of new digital cameras, there's NO eye hole--so when you want to take a picture and the sun is blaring down on you, you can't really see without making a shade with your hand. But, it's livable :)

This is my first digital camera ever purchased and i love it. I did a couple of months of research and found this camera to fit my needs. I have had a lot of camera interaction through friends and family so I can definately tell the difference in picture quality. There are many different features and it seems like I everytime I play with it I find a new feature. Good camera and I'm looking forward to all the future pictures I will take.
