Easy to Use! Affordable! Best Choice for 1st Digital Camera! May 31, 2008 I carefully researched several digital cameras before buying this, my first. I was very pleased with its easy-to-use features, and I mastered the basics in about 30 minutes...and so can you. Takes terrific photos. Hooray for Canon! Highly recommended!
Love it! May 31, 2008 I bought this camera right before going on vacation. The pictures I took all came out fabulous! The camera is simple to use and has great features. I used most of the features and I was very pleased with the results. The LCD panel is very visible even in bright sunlight. My only concern, which I had read much about before buying, was that it went through batteries very quickly. I followed someone's advice and bought lithium batteries. So far I have taken 500+ pictures using the LCD and it's still going. I'm very pleased!!
Excellent May 29, 2008 The camera was excellent especially comparing to its price. I liked it and bought it two times.
eats batteries, poor service May 29, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
After many hours of research, I decided to buy the A570IS; unfortunately, I ordered it on-line, when I should have bought it at the local Wal-Mart, where they take anything back. I sent the first camera back to the Canon factory, because it ate batteries. Even tho I used the NIMH and had a battery charger, the camera still ate batteries. Second camera comes from Canon (re-furbished) and the same thing happens; it eats batteries and doesn't transfer pictures. So I've spent lots of time sending cameras back and trying to get them to work. I give up. I want my money back, and I'm still haggling with Canon.
Great camera! May 27, 2008 I LOVE this camera. I'm amazed at the wonderful quality of the pictures I took with it. The 4X zoom is just great. The anti-shaking software works wonderfully. All the settings are very intuitive to use. Only problem: it holds only 2 AA batteries, which are consumed very quickly. Best to buy rechargeable batteries and use those..
