2 out of 5 stars Not a bad camera but hard and soft too Sony-specific   January 6, 2008

The camera is not bad. What is dissapointing are that cables, batteries, charger (hardware) and software are Sony-specific so be ready to proliferation and spend a couple of hundred dollars more in accesories if you want back ups.

5 out of 5 stars Planning on buying a DSC H7???   January 4, 2008

If you are looking for a good camera to take great pictures at a lower cost than a DSLR this is one of your best options. I just bought the H7 a month ago and I would recommend it to anyone.

The picture quality is great, the 15X optical zoom works fine and the manual controls are excellent for this kind of camera. Overall, I think that the Sony H7 is a bargain for the price (I paid $303 on Amazon). I bought it with the purpose of learning a little bit of photography and I think it was a great choice.

- Battery life is pretty good.
- LCD screen is good enough.
- 15X zoom is just great.
- Auto focus works fast.
- Steady shot is very good.
- Face detection works all the time.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Camera!!!!   January 3, 2008

Of all the cameras I've had throughout my 63 years this one is the best........the telephoto is killer.....just took it to Thailand and took over 1000 shots...everyone perfect!! The telephoto at 15X is unbelievably amazing and never a blurred image. Hardly ever need to use the flash......it's easy to use and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great digital camera........new or older camera buffs! Love this camera and for the price it's by far the most versatile......buy it now! Can't wait to purchase and try the telephoto and wide angle lenses. Robert Wunce, Santa Cruz, California

5 out of 5 stars this is an absolute point and shoot from sony   January 1, 2008

this is really a good point and shoot camera. i bought it in October it is a good camera and had really a good capturing speed and many shooting programs in it. it takes time to understand the camera, because of the operational modes. it took almost a month to get used to it. I need to do little more work to study the camera. It did captured very good pictures for my album.
only concern is the battery backup is very low. it is advised to carry an additional battery.

1 out of 5 stars Sony Cybershot H7   December 28, 2007

The Sony Cybershot appeared to be a great little ca mera and turned out to be a major disappointment. Most companies include the memory card in the box, but Sony requires the customer to obtain it separately at additional cost. In addition, the specs do not indicate the size filter the camera takes, if any. I've had several digitals and found downloading a very simple procedure, but the H7 is anything but user-friendly. I followed the complicated instruction a number of times with no success, even resorting to the Sony Help line. Without downloading the camera is useless and so I returned it.
