Great addition to your Compact Canon. The case not only "hugs" your camera enough to hold it by itself, there is a secure magnetic closure (I was sceptical about this but it doesnt affect your camera, and holds better than a snap and almost as well as velcro, but dont wear out like velcro) Reinforced Leather is stiff and sharp looking, and padded inside, protecting your camera, while still looking stylish.
The battery is wise to purchase as well. Even though my Canon seems to last a while on one battery, it helps to have that extra for trips, or to use while the other is charging (which only takes a couple hours)
Great addition to your compact Canon if you want to keep it protected and always have battery power! (Actual Canon brand accessories as well so you know your getting the best)

You get the camera case plus the extra battery for the price most places charge for the battery alone. The case fits well and protects the camera. I hated the plastic-encased metal chain that comes with it -- it's heavy and cuts into your neck. I replaced it with a heavy-duty cloth lanyard that is easy to clip on and off, which also makes it easier to get the camera in and out of the case.

The buying experience was excellent. The items arrived rapidly and as advertised. However the camera case is a little small for the camera. SD890 has a large zoom (5x) and therefore the body of the camera is a little wider than other ELPH models. It is a very tight fit in the case without any room to store an extra battery or even a flash memory card.

Although it is sort of ugly and thick, the case fits my SD790IS well and it is easy to remove the camera quickly. It is also well padded and should protect the camera just fine, and the whole thing fits fine in my purse. However, I am looking for a second case to hold my extra battery and extra memory cards, it would have been nice to have a little pocket. The extra battery is great to have, and I am glad to have a second real Canon brand battery. The leather wrist and metal neck straps are a little confusing, there is no way to attach them to anything, at least that I can find, so I will not be using them.
All in all, a well fitting, protective case and second battery.

I bought this accessory kit mainly for the genuine canon battery. What a pleasant surprise the leather case turned out to be. The leather is smooth, yet stiff enough to protect my sd870. The camera slid in smoothly without extra effort as other reviews stated. The neck strap will come in handy for handsfree situations. The leather wrist strap is an extra bonus I might find other use for. Product received sooner than expected(free shipping). Bottom line: money well spent, strongly recommended.
