I just bought the case kit and I love the value. Bought mine on Amazon for $45 with free shipping... I went to Best Buy to check it out there and I believe it was going for over $60. Plus a generic battery in stores are going for around $45 anyway so you might as well get the package! I had another sd camera and the extra battery came in handy... I would recommend everyone to buy an extra battery... because you don't want to miss out on getting those precious pictures. I haven't used the neck strap yet but I'm sure it will come in handy when I travel... It is a metal or some kind of string covered with a plastic or see through silicon... pretty sturdy. The case is thick and will protect your camera... however I bought a skin for my camera instead.
I carry my camera in my purse or have my boyfriend carry it in his pocket... the Delkin Camera skin is perfect... doesn't add to much to the thickness and protects it just the same.

This is a great bargain! The case is sturdy, good looking, and has a nice feel. The extra battery is essential for being prepared at all times outside of the home.
