Love these!! March 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have the largest Gorillapod for our Canon Rebel XTI and we absolutely love it! They really do go anywhere and they are extremely sturdy. We have had so many comments and people asking us where we purchased it. I just got the smaller one for my sister, she has a Canon Powershot digital camera and it was perfect. These are GREAT gifts for people who travel or have kids and don't want to use a large, bulky tripod (that could get knocked over easiely!) I highly recommend this product.
Tripod for the active photographer March 3, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been very disappointed trying to take pictures with regular tripods. Part of the problem is that I am often taking pictures where there is no good place for a tripod to stand, specifically boats, yet I still want the mobility of a small, compact tripod that I can easily pack along with my other gear.
Since I purchased this item, I can now take pictures on a moving boat with ease! Plus, I can safely and easily secure it between pictures, too.
Highly recommended, incredible value for the price.
off center holes February 23, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's a great little tripod but mine was a bit loose at the neck and couldn't handle a Canon Powershot S410, which has a hole on the far left side. It's fine with a bit of fiddling but the fact that I have to spend some time fiddling with it is annoying.
great product, but be careful February 21, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I really dig this product for a lot of reasons - mainly becuase, it's small, light, sturdy and easy to deal with. I bought this product because it seemed like the perfect compliment to the way that I use my digital camera - on the go. However, one thing to keep your eyes out for is the fact that when I got my unit home and went' to connect it to my camera, I realized that I didn't check my camera to see where the screw-in mount was oriented - my camera, a Nikon Coolpix has this screw in mount on the left side of the camera - not in the middle. With such a small tripod, if I stuck all the legs out straight, just like regular tripod, my setup would fall right over. Not that big of a deal - all I needed to to was either to widen the area that the tripod legs stood upon, or re-orient the legs to compensate for the off-balance nature of the setup.
I opted fort he latter and it works like a charm. If my camera were heavier, it could be an issue.. so be forewarned.
This Thing is Little! February 20, 2007 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
After I received it, the box being 3 times the size of the product, I was suprised at its size. It is made for a SMALL point and shoot camera. I bought it thinking it would hold a Panasonic FZ50. I was wrong. It works fine for my wife's Panasonic TZ1. So it wasn't a total lose.
