Purchased these filters as insurance against damage to my more expensive lense. A real good value

Fits perfect and does it's job. Not much more to say - get one to protect your lens!

Does what is says. Fits my Canon 58mm lens just right. Quality and clarity appear very good / excellent.

4 out of 5 stars Review of what?   May 12, 2007

Ok - I'm not to sure how to review these uv/clear glass filters. Here's what I wrote for one of a different diameter:

"Ok, there's not much really to rate here. I think that some UV/clear glass filters might be bad (obvious distortion, easily scratched etc.)- but most of them offer nothing much more than some cheap glass to protect your expensive glass.

(Nothing appreciable anyway - I cannot discern their different UV blocking properties.)"

I mean seriously, if it's kept clean then the resulting distortion or chromatic aberration should be pretty minimal/unnoticeable.

:) Umm . . . that said, I still take it off every now-and-again - sometimes it confuses the autofocus in low light if it has to use the flash for focusing.
