Good but not great February 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Omni Bounce is very simple to install and use (follow the directions - use a 45 degree angle, not straight up or straight on) and does a good job of diffusing the light from the flash. My experience has been that results are dependant on the height and composition of the ceiling. There are many different diffusers to choose from, I can recommend this one, but right now I use my Demb Flash Diffuser Pro when I really want the best shot. Both will help when photographing children, who like all of us don't like a flash shot right in their eyes, but are more likely to run the other direction when they see it coming.
great product February 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this for my husband for Christmas - it's just what he wanted and does a good job in diffusing the flash - his pictures really good.
You need this February 8, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you have a 580EXII flash, add this to your shopping cart - you won't regret it. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit over the flash as well as I would expect, you just force it over, but there is no click or feeling that it was meant to be there.
Does the job but $$$ for a piece of plastic January 20, 2008 3 out of 12 found this review helpful
Does the job but $$$ for a piece of plastic. This is perhaps worth 5c in terms of plastic so why so exp? Hence 2stars
Filter reveiw January 12, 2008 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I used this filter for the first time at a national convention in Sacramento, Ca. I found that the pictures I took came out just right using it in a fairly well lit hall. I took close up detail pictures with a 17-40 mm Canon lens on a Cannon D5 as well as group shots of people. No bad pictures due to flash issues so far. I gave a 4 only because I haven't explored all the prime uses for this lens yet.
