SanDisk CF Type I/II ImageMate October 18, 2007 This works great for me. I've used a Memory Pro version for years and recently bought a Canon SLR that uses a CF memory card. I don't use the auto-sync feature though, I manually copy the files to the folders I want the pictures stored in.
Nice n' Fast October 13, 2007 I owned an older SanDisk CF reader (ImageMate SDDR-75), which worked just dandy. But, when I bought a new 10 MP DSLR, and started uploading lots of big RAW pic files from my 2 gig card to my computer for conversion, it seemed to take ages.
So I bought this baby, and WOW, what a difference! It's about 3 times as fast as the old reader. BTW, I didn't bother installing the button software on my Dell Dimension WinXP box, so I can't comment on the functionality of the transfer button.
Really Great... FAST transfer October 10, 2007 This is the BEST CF card reader I've ever had... (my 4th).... It's super fast and it de-mounts really quickly too... No complaints whatsoever... they should make it in different colors!
Fast, but mine has errors downloading. September 18, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I wanted a faster CF card reader, so I got this. First the software is not compatible with Vista. Contacted Sandisk and they said no problem, just use it without the "button" software. I thought fine, I'd rather not load software anyway. I tried downloading my RAW and JPEG files, and it stops with errors. My other CF card readers work fine. (I bought this through Amazon's seller "Endless Variety", and it seems they don't reply to your email). I love Sandisk's CF cards, I have 10 of them from 1GB to 4GB, so I was disappointed. To be fair, it is probably just a defective unit.
Works like a charm. Super fast image transfer September 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having a Cf USB 2.0 card reader made life much more simpler than transfering images via the Camera. There are 2 big advantages in buying one. 1) It is powered by your Computer via a USB cable and does not require you to upload via your camera, so you can save your camera's batteries. 2) It transfers images from the CF to the PC at a significantly faster rate than the camera. Without keeping track of time I would say it is 2/3 rds quicker with a CF reader than using a conventional usb transfer via the camera. My only regret is that I did not buy this product sooner.
