I am just amazed by the qualities of this product. It is very easy to use with my Nikon D40X. There are more complicated settings and features for more creativity, if desired.
Nikon D300 with two SB-800 June 25, 2008

I am a part-time photographer for hire. There are times when I simply cannot pack all my gears to shot at locations, therefore the two SB-800 are so useful to me. I have been very happy with the results and so are my customers. My only word of caution is that the SB-800 drains my batteries extremely fast. I use Energizer Lithium (4 AA for ~$9.00 at most stores). After about 20-25 shots, I had to replace them with new batteries. It's not that the batteries are drained or dead, but it is that the batteries are over-heated. You must take out the batteries and let them cool until the next session. At any rate, the SB-800 is perfectly suited for all your photographic needs.

This speedlight is the best flash ever made. It is unbelievable powerful. With bounce flash function, you can get studio like photos. With this speedlight, you will always get correctly exposed photos. Your photos will be always soft and smooth. It is absolutely the best flash available in the market today.
SB800 for Nikon D300 June 9, 2008
Worked as advertised. Not a professional photographer but found the speedlight easy to use. Would recommend purchase. Amazon made the purchase very easy with fast delivery.
Wonderful Flash June 1, 2008
100% improvement over on camera flash. Went to some caverns shortly after I purchased this and took some wonderfull pictures even in the low lighting.
