Super Nikon Flash! October 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of the best flash units ever put out by Nikon.......It's fast and powerful....The fifth battery add on is a little strange, but it seems to work just fine.
Highly recommended!
A must buy for serious photographers October 12, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great flash with my D200. It Has many nice features and is versatile. I use it mostly off camera and use the built in flash to trigger the SB-800. My only complaint is the dot matrix LCD is not that good.
EXCELENT PRODUCT September 24, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
THIS NIKON SB-800 IS AN EXCELENT CHOICE FOR THE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE. IT ALSO COMES WITH MANY USEFUL ACCESORIES.
great flash, bad manual September 16, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great results w/ D80. Offers excellent versitility w/ included diffuser, 2 gel filters, built wide flash adapter and bounce card, as well as the extra 7 degrees of downward tilt over the SB-600. However, instruction manual is terrible. While referencing just about anything, it refers you to another page, which then refers you to another page, which then usually refers you to your camera's manual. You get more usable info from your camera manual than the one provided so look there first for assitance. Other than that, this is an excellent buy - well worth the extra bucks over the SB-600 if you need a flash like this. For more casual photography, go with the SB-600.
