Survived the Washing Machine July 8, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I accidentally put 4 of these through the washing machine. Their little plastic cases were filled with water, and I was shaking water out of the cards. After leaving the cards sitting out for a week, I was still able to use them --- and I didn't lose a single picture!

I bought this card for my Canon Powershot G6. It is the one with the lowest price I could find with reliable feeling about quality according to my experience. And it turned out to be very fast, and no hassles... Recommended.
Works as expected and as advertised. July 3, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've used the two one gig CF I purchased and have been well pleased with them. Mine are used in a Fuji S2 digital camera and have replaced a minidisk drive that failed.
No formatting was needed. The cards were at once recognized by my computer (Dell WS 380) and by the camera. They hold 76 RAW files, each about 12.7 Meg in size. They are much faster than the MD card they replaced, both in recording and downloading. I have none no formal testing, but they seem to have less battery drain and that is a big plus with this camera--it is a major battery hog.
Photography is a business, so functional and reliable gear is essential. One card stays in the Pelican case, they other in the camera. With the two, I can capture about 150 images, which is usually enough for an afternoon. If more storage is needed, I take along a laptop and load a card into it.
The Sandisk is not the cheapest choice, but quality seldom is. If your data is valuable to you, it deserves a quality storage media.

Survived a wash cycle July 2, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I was very pleased with the durability of my compact flash card when it survived a cycle in our washing machine.
Excellent value for the money! June 29, 2006 I bought this Ultra II CF card for my Nikon D-70s and I am very happy with my purchase. I have read about problems that other people had with this type of card and all I can say is that it is backed by a 5 year warranty. Works for me!
