Great product November 24, 2008 I thing this a great bag. It is my first backpack style and I enjoy the room and fit for the xti that I own. Would recommend it to anyone. It fits the camera, 75-300 zoom, 18-55, and 420-1600 with room to spare for flashes and other accessories. Tripod loops on the bottom and others I'll figure out what to use for(water bottles?). Do not regret this purchase at all.
Almost Perfect Camera Backpack for me November 23, 2008 This is almost the perfect camera backpack for me. Holds all my gear comfortably, but most important to me is that it holds my canon 20D with attached 70-200L with hood on in shooting position (not reversed). It is very inexpensive and light weight compared to the Lowe equivalent.....it may not have as much overall padding, but it is definitely enough for me. I have seen some comments about the zipper opening by itself and gear almost falling out but it has not been a problem for me, maybe because I always close all my zippers all the way to the right side, instead of both zippers meeting in the top middle of the pack. The only very minor thing that I would have hoped for is that the dividers optionally facilitated the orientation of the camera body in the bottom of the pack instead of the top, which seems to be common for most packs. The reason would I prefer this is that with the lens hood on, this may start to make a permanent circular indentation in the foam padding in the bottom of the pack (it happened in my other Lowe bag), losing shock protection over time. I solved this by putting in a small piece of acrylic and extra foam where the lens hood rests in the bottom of the pack to help distribute the weight. I am very happy with this pack and rate it 5 stars, not 4 like it says above....that was a mistake due to multiple clicks on a slow connection and I can't figure out how to correct it.
Perfect bag for a guy! November 22, 2008 I bought this for my nephew and he's loving it. The storage is great and the padding is protective without being too much.
Great value for the cost November 22, 2008 The title says it all! Very satisfied with this item and another great deal from Amazon!
Solid November 21, 2008 I have numerous lenses (including a 70-300mm) and a XTi and picked this up because I was going on a honeymoon to New York City and wanted to have something comfortable to lug all my gear around it. I was impressed, it was very very comfortable and with ample pockets and compartments I was able to not only stow all my stuff but also to keep it all organized.
After trudging around bustling NYC for a week I have no complaints. In fact we often stuffed magazines and bottle water onto the meshing at the back bulking up the weight and it was still no issue.
I take issue with those that talk lenses falling out - especially due to lack of velcro holders ... seriously, find a stable surface - like a wall, or the floor, unzip - remove your lense and your set. No issues at all - it just seems like common sense to place your bag full of expensive equipment on a stable surface before opening the zippers. As for popping zippers? Nothing on my side at all. I have owned the bag for many months now so maybe its not old enough for problems but I also do not envisage any considering I'm not biking around.
