A great asset October 5, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you like sunset portraits but you want to add more warmth into the picture, this filter would be it. It perfectly graduates the color to normal tones.
PROS: ----- 1. Beautiful sunsets. 2. You can rotate the glass to selectively choose which areas of your frame needs to be adjusted without touching the threads.
CONS: ----- 1. Expensive.
Pros and Cons for Neutral Density October 5, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The ND filter by Tiffen gets some light use (20%) on our outdoor shots. This allows us to darken the skies a bit if the sun is too bright. The graduated filter allows you to select which areas of your frame you want to darken because you can rotate it.
PROS ---- 1. Good vibrant shadows. 2. Saves time from PhotoShop.
CONS ---- 1. None yet.

Creative shots outdoors October 5, 2007 Tiffen's 77mm graduated filter allows you to have some great skies on your outdoor shots. We utilize this primarily for our beach portraits. The blues really come out in the backdrop and you can do some creative effects with the blues when the sun is coming down.
PROS ---- 1. Allows for great 'blue' creativity, especially outdoors. 2. It rotates for vertical or horizontal shots.
CONS ---- 1. Threading might be a bit of a problem, it worked okay for us but this is a common complaint for Tiffen filters.

No complaints! October 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Does what it's supposed to. No vignetting on my Sigma 10-20mm on a Pentax K-mount. Works with the factory lens cap perfectly.
nice lens September 28, 2007 this tiffen 77mm does the job. protects my 24-70 lens and so far no complaints. ive had it for about 3 weeks now and it has not given me any negative dissapointment but one. I was trying to clean in between my camera lens and the tiffen uv filter but the uv filter is stuck now (i probably tightened it too much). other than that. go for it. its worth every penny. protect your expensive lens.
