 Sandisk does it again! March 22, 2008
Great card reader! I use it regularly with SD cards, and occasionally with CF cards. Rest assured that this unit will take full advantage of the high speed capability of quality memory cards!

I purchased this reader to speed the transfer of SDHC cards. Note that the photo on this website does not exactly match the product (or the photo on its box). The reader now clearly shows SDHC on the front of the reader. Using an older computer with an added USB 2 port (but without the corresponding faster bus), I was able to transfer at 13 MB/S using a SanDisk Extreme III 4GB card. The rated speed is a bit faster, but I'm very happy! Nice blue glowing light. No software to install. Great product, low price!

I own canon cameras which have both sandisk chips and compact flash chips and this item workes perfect to download picture off of them and it takes up such a small space that it makes it convenient.

When I received this reader, I was very pleased with its performance and cost. It seemed to download very quickly compared to several generic readers I had accumulated over the past couple of years. But in the extreme environment of my desktop, I was only able to download three CF cards before the unit died - no light, no computer recognition, nothing... I wrote Sandisk who referred me back to the seller. I did receive an RMA from BlueProton on 27 February, after a few emails back and forth. So I am waiting now for a replacement unit. Hopefully it will be longer lived.
This is the first Sandisk product I have bought. I had thought I was moving up in the reader world. But they have yet to earn that distinction.

Sandisk USB 2.0 Reader works great on Macs March 7, 2008

Quality item, very well make. I am a Mac user, and this card reader works fine for OS9, OSX 10.3 and 10.4. And it is fast using USB 2.0 (USB 1.1 for OS9), faster than the Lexar firewire CF card readers I have. The cards fit into this reader very easily, many card readers have a very bad fit, but this one has a great fit for all card types. It is so good I am going to buy a second one.
