The battery worked great for the first few months I had it. Last week I noticed when I put the battery into the charger, the charge indicator light was red, but after a few minutes, the charge light was green. However, when I put the battery into the camera, the camera indicated that the battery needed to be changed. It looks like a couple other people have had similar problems. There's a 3 year warranty on this battery, so I emailed Lenmar to ask if I could get a replacement. Lenmar responded quickly, providing me with a return authorization number and detailed information on their warranty policy. However, since my battery was purchased more than 90 days ago, there's a $7.50 shipping and handling charge for the new battery. Since I only paid $12 for the battery itself, I didn't think it was worth the trouble to get a replacement, especially since I could run into the same problem with the replacement. Anyway, I think it'd be wise to spend the extra bucks for the Canon battery.

Bought 2 of thses at an unbelievably low price compared to the Canon brand battery. Only opened one so far and it charged fully and has worked normally, but I have only taken about 150 pictures to date. However, I have extensively used the display trying to become familiar with all the functions and settings with the new camera. I'll know a lot more about the battery life later, but expect it to be slightly less that the Canon one since it is rated with a slightly lower capacity.

Received this a while back, and the battery does not take a charge. shows up as full when in the charger, but doesn't hold a charge. Looks like another reviewer had the same problem, and replaced it.

Amazing. Just absolutely amazing.
You see so many after-market batteries out there. Some are so insanely inexpensive it would scare me to buy them. You know, eBay stuff out of Hong Kong. Three for 7.99 made in China cheapo stuff. I mean, there all probably made in China now anyways, but I'm sure some are shadier than others but I trust the Lenmar name and I must say the Lenmar equivalent to Canon's NB-5L is a serious bargain! Decent manufacturing with decent quality control (knock on wood).
$60 some places are getting for an OEM Canon. I love Canon and I'm sure their NB-5L is top quality but I can't afford that much money. So I opt for the Lenmar.
Seriously scrumptious batteries. The plastic casing gives a nice crunch and the gritty/creamy lithium filling has a nice bitter taste with an unusual mouth feel to it.
They power my Canon SD790is VERY well too!
Please be advised that I do not recommend eating batteries to anyone. That would be a silly thing to do now wouldn't it?

I originally found this brand though a search for a second battery for a canon digital camera and read many positive reviews. Other brands did not rate as highly in reviews. So I gave it a chance, boy was I impressed. I find in my experience that it works better than the battery that comes with teh camera.
