5 out of 5 stars the Gorillapod is a must!!   January 10, 2007

I've needed a portable and "flexible" tripod for a very long time now. It's so hard to carry around one of those colapsable metal ones and they're not very sturdy. you can shape your gorilla anyway you want on any surface without having to worry about your expensive equipment. I gave a few of these as a gift during xmas and own one of my own. Our friends will come over and think it's a massager of some sort but when I tell them what it is, they automatically want one!!!

4 out of 5 stars As long as you don't need free-standing height....   January 9, 2007

This is actually a cool little contraption. It has wrapped itself around pretty much anything we've needed it to. Its only drawback is that it cannot stand as tall as your typical tripod. But, here's the catch - if you need the height and you have a standard tripod, just wrap the Gorillapod's flexible legs around the tripod and - VOILA! - you have height!!! It's definitely a little contraption worth keeping around if you are a camera enthusiast...

5 out of 5 stars Great Tool!   January 9, 2007
When I got it, the first thing I did was take a picture of myself by hooking it to the back of a chair. It works great and is small and compact. Our friends said it would also be a good church toy for children. You can bend the legs every which way and it would be noiseless!

5 out of 5 stars Don't waste another moment - buy a Gorillapod right now!   January 9, 2007
This flexible little tripod is a wonder. The legs stand up or wrap firmly around objects. There are three different models, each for a different weight camera: make sure you get the appropriate weight. The largest requires that you add your own ball head.

These gadgets are absolutely terrific. You will truly wonder how you ever got along without one. Whether you use it to take pictures of yourself with a self-timer, as a way to get long exposures or whatever, you'll marvel at the cleverness of the design. They sell accessory shoes so you can use them handily with more than one camera. There's also an accessory shoe available to hold electronic flash units.

Finally the Gorillapod is also fun to play with it. But be careful: show it to a little kid and you may wind up without it or having to buy another.

5 out of 5 stars Great add-on for your camera   January 5, 2007
I use this guy all the time. Being an outdoor enthusiast, I find uses for it all the time (delay pictures, silky water shots, steadiness at night). This really is a must ahve if you use your digital camera a few times a month or it is always at your hip. Fits in a pocket, and also a CamelBak.
