Very fast card, good price February 22, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Faster to write than read but faster than any card I've used so far.
Why would you wait 5 months to ask for a product review? January 4, 2007 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Why would you wait 5 months to ask me for a product review? yeah its a great product. in fact its the industry standard.
Nice card but no faster than my Ultra II December 26, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have done numerous read and write speed tests with this Extreme III 1 GB card using both a USB 2.0 (it was rated as high speed) and a Firewire card reader. The file transfers were identical to my Ultra II 512 MB card, if not slightly slower. I might have been maxing out the transfer rates of those individual readers, but certainly not USB 2.0 or Firewire transfer rates. I imagine if the camera is capable of using the high speed card it might be faster, but otherwise the Ultra II is probably equally as good.
I appreciate the included neoprene case because it holds two CF cards in their hard plastic cases. Some card holders don't fit the cards if you leave them in the protective hard plastic cases, which in my eyes renders those holders useless. I want the hard plastic case to protect the card from impacts and to prevent dirt from entering the pin holes.
This is a great card, I just don't see the advantage over the Ultra II. Buy it if you have the highest end camera, otherwise buy whichever is cheaper.
great flash card... November 15, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I needed a high speed flash card and this one fit the bill, have been using it in my Canon Rebel for 3 months now and have been completly satisfied with it. This product also comes with a recovery disc that helps recover files from damaged cards...I used it on a card that was fried and it was unable to recover it. I am guessing it is user error not the program. I had reformatted the disc in effort to get rid of the fried fragments of my photos and so there was not much for the program to find. Over all, I love this product and would buy this again.
SanDisk 1GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card November 3, 2006 Great for those digital cameras that require a fast card. I have a Canon EOS-30D and it goes from one frame to the next without hesitation. Fast loading to PC.
