Well, we are now learning a bit more about Harry and his past.. Mom and such. The next one aught to prove even better. Harry has a family now, a dog, a talking skull, a great cat and no girlfriend but hey, life is good. We love Harry and hope to see more Bob the Skull in the future.
Very entertaining episode...nice character development July 9, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Summary: This is an excellent, highly enjoyable and fairly quick reading book. The story is well conceived, nicely executed and expands several of the characters quite a bit. Harry learns much more about his past and gets a nasty portent of his potential future.
The interaction between Murphy and Harry is better than usual. It appears that something maybe developing between them.
Characters: 5 stars -- great development Story: 5 stars -- good concept, nice extensions to the developed world of the series Action: 5 stars -- good pacing with consequences
I really enjoyed the book; it has hard to put down.
this is for all the books July 1, 2006 I love the premise and I love the character. Harry Dresden is, for the lack a better word, a trip. While most books may elicit a slight smile, these booka make me laugh out loud and therefore have my vote everytime.
Best yet! June 17, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Really enjoyed this fast-paced book! The storyline is getting interesting...I'll admit the thing with Thomas kind of threw me for a loop, the whole "Okay, is he really just trying to keep the storyline going?" but by the end it made perfect sense.
I'm also wondering when the hell the tension between Harry and Murphy is gonna break...and where Susan will fit into that....
Keep up the good work! I'm find ing out exactly why so many of my friends love these books!
