| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Take your subject closer by attaching this high quality Telephoto Converter Lens to your COOLPIX camera. Can be installed simply by screwing it into the camera lens. With some COOLPIX models, adapter rings need to be attached to the camera first.

Great for the price June 4, 2007 I bought this lens for my Coolpix 4300 along with the Wide angle (26mm) converter and am very pleased with the results. All the comments from my review of the WA converter apply to this one too. Great product! You can't go wrong.
Great accessory for Coolpix 775 March 21, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was thrilled when I first bought my Coolpix 775 but after playing with it I became very disappointed with it's performance. Checking with local camera shops which offered no help in finding accessories for this camera, I basicly shelved it. After finding the TC-E2 (along with the WC-E24) has given this camera a "new" life. A tripod is a definite must and it does annoy that you can't use the view finder thanks to the lens adapter but for taking still static shots--it's great! The pricing of this lens (and others) are very reasonable. The 3x however is quite "pricey" but I'm really excited about getting one anyway. A good quality product.
Very cool January 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great item, one thing to note is you cannot take a picture with the flash, because the lens blocks the flash and casts a shadow on the image. But man is it fun on a tripod or out side.
Excellent, for what it is February 28, 2004 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this 2x lens to give more zoom capability to my CoolPix 4300 camera. The 4300 only has a 3x optical zoom built into it, which I found is not really enough for taking action shots and that kind of thing. This lens doubles the optical zoom maximum to 6x. That helps a lot for pulling in the subject, but is definitely not like having a 400mm lens on an SLR, for example. For my camera, and I think most CoolPix cameras, you need a small screw-on ring adapter (Nikon UR-E4, for the 4300) to attach this lens to the camera. The adapter can be a little hard to find I discovered, as most photo places tend not to stock it. I did find one though. The lens itself is very well made, lightweight, and comes with a nice little velvet bag and lens caps for both ends. It takes great photos without any weird side effects or aberrations. I've found that it's best if you use it in well lighted situations, or use a tripod, to avoid blurring the subject as a result of camera shake.
Get closer. March 9, 2003 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have a Nikon Coolpix 5000, and needed this lens to help out the 3x optical zoom it comes with. The lens has great optics. No distortion or aberations. It requires an adapter to use it with the camera. Screw on the adapter and the lens to the camera, tell the camera you are using the 2X lens and you are ready. Wish they had bayonet mounts like the SLRs.
