5 out of 5 stars A Class Act From Beginning To End!   November 28, 2007

Pointe Magazine is the finest American magazine devoted exclusively(more or less) to ballet, as opposed to other dance styles. It is geared towards both men and women equally, and is at an adult level. The quality of the coverage is great, and there are lots of interesting regular features, such as highlighting a dancer of the month and question and answers of famous dancers. The quality of the photography is top notch, as is the fantastic paper it is printed on. It is also very affordable. I don't know any ballet dancers who don't subscribe to Pointe!

2 out of 5 stars Does not deserve 5 stars   July 9, 2003

Pointe is the equivalent to a teen magazine in the ballet world. Lovely photograghs, but lacks in content. If you are a true balletomane, look towards Ballet Review and Ballet Alert.

5 out of 5 stars loveing pointe   January 26, 2003

Oh My Gosh! I love this magazine! It really brings the dance world into perspective. I love to hear what some of the professionals have to say about their dancing lives. My favorite articles are the ones on the problems with pointe shoes and how to overcome them. Realistic, honest, great advice!

I have been looking for a ballet or dancing magazine forever and I found pointe and am really satisfied. It offers hundreds of wonderful apparel items and lots of advice, plus interveiws with famous dancers. Its definately ideal for the dancer or figure skater. It is also a great gift to give someone who dances or figure skates. Pointe rocks!!

This is a wonderful magazine for all dancers, parents of dancers and dance lovers.
You can catch a wonderful performance of the Nutcracker in New Jersey at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank on 12/1,12/7, and 12/8/02 by the Performing Arts Ensemble.Featuring guest dancers from New York City and showcasing new young talent from the metropolitan area, the PAE continues to bring culture to children of all ages during the holidays.
