5 out of 5 stars Stampers Sampler Offers Wonder Samples of Art   July 22, 2008
Stampers' Sampler is a sampling of art, more art, and even more art. The June/July 2008 issue boasts to have more than 175 samples inside. Each issue contains a challenge template, techniques to learn, and artist samples to view. The April/May 2008 issue claimed that this is a new beginning for them. They are experimenting with a new cover look that is supposed to be cleaner and fresher. On the inside of the magazine, the samples have been made larger to see all of the details easier. Christen Olivarez, managing editor, claims that the common stamper found many of the previous samples too difficult to follow, so the next issue will include easier versions of the artist's work. She did not state whether there would be directions included, but in this issue samples had a brief explanation of materials or techniques used, and then you were on your own to try it out.

I love seeing other artist work in these issues. They encourage me to try new things, and make me think that I can do it too. And as I look at all of the samples included in each issue, I keep dreaming that one day I will be able to submit my work and see it on these special pages. Isn't that what inspiration is all about?

5 out of 5 stars Priced too high, but get it anyway!   June 16, 2007
As others have pointed out, this subscription can be purchased from the publisher, www.stampington.com, at a much better rate.

I would like to add that this magazine is well-worth getting, so please, do go order it! It's a great magazine! It is primarily oriented towards card-making, but also includes other items, and the techniques discussed could be applied to most other craft or mixed media projects.

Lots and lots of inspiration and good ideas!

Enjoy!

3 out of 5 stars Excellent magazine, too high priced tho   May 30, 2007

This is a very good magazine for all types of paper crafts involving rubber stamping and mixed media paper art, but the price is $10 over the regular subscription from publisher-a shame! But if you can't get it through the publisher, then definately give it a try. A must for those who like to keep on the cutting edge of beautiful and new ideas in paper/mixed media art.
