If you want ease of use get this device June 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is probably the easiest device that I have ever purchased. If you follows the 4 easy steps instructions you will start capturing very good quality videos in no time.
One small issue I encountered is that when connecting a USB drive as your storage, make sure that the drive enclosure is USB exclusively. I have one USB drive that also has a USB and a Firewire port and the PVT did not like it at all.
Pinnicle Video Transfer - my experience June 14, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
PVT is as advertised a product that will let you transfer your old video files to the H264 format suitable for iPod (Video) display. I used a USB drive (1Gb) to transfer over approx 2 hours of VHS recording at the "better" quality capture rate. The digitized video was a bit grainy but no worse than what I expected. There is another higher quality video setting but I have not tried that one yet. The USB output was easy to use I just plugged in a USB drive and the device recognized it and the transfer took place. It also recognized my Zonet 3.5 SATA enclosure as an output device. So I'm off to save my old VHS and Beta tape recordings.
