2 out of 5 stars It was OK for awhile   December 5, 2008
I bought this card nearly a year ago, and it worked fine for awhile. This summer I was on vacation in Okinawa, Japan, and I got an error while trying to view a picture I had just taken. Then about 2 months later I was using it to take photos at an event, an anniversay celebration, and after taking 6 pictures that day it began giving me errors. I stopped using it and tried to recover the pictures later at home, I was only able to get 2 out of 6 pictures off the card. So I went and bought a much more expensive SanDisk Extreme III card.

I can't recommend this card.

5 out of 5 stars Speedy Card   November 16, 2008
I was quite pleased to find such a speedy card at such a reasonable price. Instantaneous writing. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars What a bargain!   November 16, 2008
I can't believe 4 GB for this cheap! I bought 6 cards for a vacation to Arizona with some trepidation - hey if the cards failed in the field when am I getting back to the Grand Canyon again? They worked great! I take pictures on a tripod so I work slow - can't testify to speed but I never had to wait to take the next shot. Have had them for a short period of time but no problems so far.

5 out of 5 stars Great bang for the buck!   November 1, 2008

I bought this to replace my Sandisk II 1GB card which costed ~$100 at the time. This 4GB card costed me <$16 (incl. shipping) and allows me to shoot RAW freely. Speed wise it is very decent. No complain there. After all, I made a conscious decision to buy this 133x card rather than a faster one. Can't give it a lower mark for not being faster, can I? Usage wise, I have not experienced any problem since I bought the card a month ago. I was a little skeptical about Transcend brand (vs. SanDisk, for example) at first but Amazon reviews suggest similar dissatisfactory rate so I guess the qualities are similar. I have used this card w/ my camera (Rebel XT) in 90+F Southern California weather and so far not observed any anomaly (data lost) as some reported. All in all, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

3 out of 5 stars Cheap, high capacity   October 16, 2008

This is a good card considering the price. After about 1000 shots over a few weeks, I did encounter an error on my 40D while shooting that required me to reformat the card and lose about 20 shots. Thankfully I was able to redo the shots, but this incident doesn't give me much confidence in this card.

As others have said it does not seem that this card is actually 133x speed.
