Product Description
How many times have we all taken images and our subject just blended in with the background or those gorgeous bright blue eyes on a child looked lifeless? Whether shooting film or digital, there is one thing that sets an average image apart from a great image lighting. Learning how to control the light onto your subject will bring your image to life. The PB500 Light offers 500 watts of constant light. No need for meters and slaves, as constant light allows you to see the image prior to capture just as your camera would.

The Three Light Kit offers a quick portable set up with everything needed to obtain great images. The main light illuminates your subject(s) while the fill light lessens shadows and lowlights while still achieving depth and contour. This kit also features the addition of a background light. Utilizing a background light, youll create depth and three dimensions to your subject. Included is a 5-ft. x 8-ft. Slate Gray background along with two Large 3M Command Strips. These strips attach quickly to a wall or window allowing you to hang your background instantly. A floor-positioning mat directs you on placement of your lights, camera and subject(s). The Instructional DVD will walk you through how to operate and understand your digital camera, step-by-step set up of your kit, lighting and posing, along with many tips and techniques to enhance your images.

Kit Includes: 1-Yellow Constant Light, 1-Red Constant Light and 1-Blue Constant Light - all with removable 13-ft. power cords and reflectors; 2-7.5-ft. Light Stands, 1-3-ft. 3 out of 5 stars Overall good but had product issues   December 1, 2008
Delivery time was great. I received an open item product and it was missing quite a few items. But the dealer was very responsive in correcting the situation. They shipped the missing parts immediately and replaced a broken item promptly.

1 out of 5 stars Cheap!!   November 12, 2008
THis is a horrible product!! It was made from very cheap plastic. The tripods were cheap. I also did not see anywhere in the ad that these are CONSTANT lights. I sent mine back, I am going to spend a little more for a better quality product.

While this product looks really nice, comes with a DVD explaining everything. The bottom line is: It does not work. At least not for more than a couple of hours if you get a GOOD set. One of the lights blew a fuse presumably during my first big shoot and I had to return the whole thing. Bought another set immediately from Ritz Camera online. Amazon promised to cover the shipping. They did not. Upon receipt of the second set, a light blew in the first 5 minutes! Then, Ritz was uncooperative about the return. Obviously, this product is DEFECTIVE!

I recently purchased the three-light kit and it is perfect! Everything comes in a nicely packaged travel case. The instructional DVD is excellent. It guides you through the whole process of setting up the lights, and how to adjust them for your subject. It's very easy to use. All the portraits I have taken so far have turned out great!

3 out of 5 stars Great product for your money meant to give it 5 stars   September 27, 2007

I am used to using strobes but found this constant light set to work rather well. My lights did arrive ontime but two of the lights weren't working. I called Westcott Photo Basics directly and was very happy with their great service. They had me ship the two heads back to them free of charge and was returned in a fast amount of time. The background could be a little thicker but still works well. I have my own background stands so I didn't need their hooks with adhesive strips. Also haven't used their fool proof floor mat but for people who may need it I think it is a good idea. The DVD is also ok for people who haven't photographed people.
Over all this is a great set for the money.
