Very convenient and neccessary! December 1, 2008 This device works perfectly, and is almost essential for macro photography and slow shutter work. Set the shot up and press the release button when convenient! Also no need to worry about shaky hands! I received this product faster than expected!
It's cheap and it works! November 17, 2008 I couldn't bring myself to spend the kind of money Sony was asking for their remote shutter release when Opteka has one for a fraction of the price. I just got it and it seems like a decent product. I have a Sony A200 and I've taken quite a few pictures. It works as I expected (It takes a picture when you press the button). In the short time I've had it I'm very pleased.
hmmm... September 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While the Opteka remote does what it is indented to do, it does not fit snug into the cameras shutter release input slot. There is a rubber guard covering the hole, and it seems this is getting in the way. This problem often causes the release to fall off the camera, and when shooting at night time, can be a big problem. However, on the positive side the thing works, and costs a fraction of Sony's release.
Works... that's all you should know!!! September 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very simple product designed for a simple task. I have two uses for it: 1)Releasing the shutter without touching the body of the camera in order to eliminate camera shake when using a tripod, 2)Controlling the shutter speeed in order to take shots with a 30 second or more exposure.
If this is the case for you, this product works just fine. I would give it 5 stars if only the cable were made out of a stronger material (it's made out of a very fragile plastic). You don't need to spend more on the Sony brand.
Works Great, Great Price August 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was skeptical because of the generic name and low price, but it works great!
