Costly, other filter will work just as well. But it does what it was made to do.

Not much to say about this item... it's just a lens protector filter. It appears to be well and uniformly coated and optically neutral in color. It fits the DSC-R1 perfectly as expected. Probably worth five stars, but I dislike hyperbole ;-)
