Works great! July 17, 2008 Can't beat this for the price. Worked like a charm. Seems to last just as long as the regular battery. No complaints.
Saves Money, Works Great July 9, 2008 Purchased this battery for my Canon SD1100IS. Works just as well as my Canon battery and was 20-30 dollars cheaper than a Canon spare battery.
As good as the original - so why pay more?? July 5, 2008 I recently bought a Canon SD1000 digital elph camera, and wanted to get a 2nd battery to have on hand as a spare for the Canon NB-4L battery that came with the camera. I decided to buy the Lenmar DLC4L on the basis of the cumulative reviews I read here on this site. After using the two batteries side-by-side for 6 weeks now, I honestly cannot tell a difference between them. It just doesn't seem to make financial sense to pay 4-5 times more to get the Canon name-brand battery. Even if the Lenmar turns out to last only half as long as the Canon, I'll still have gotten my money's worth.
To those who've experienced shorter than expected battery life, you need to consider that there are many different ways that battery life can be adversely affected. Some tips: (1) Don't "cook" your battery on the charger - the heat produced from the "trickle" charge that many chargers impart on the battery after normal charging is complete is one of the leading causes of early battery failure. (2) Handle and store your spare battery as gently as you would with the camera itself - it doesn't take much of an impact on the battery casing to cause irreversible accelerated self-discharge in one or more cells within, resulting in greatly reduced capacity. These issues affect ALL batteries, name-brand or otherwise.
Get what you pay for July 1, 2008 This battery falls far short of being a direct replacement for the NB4L. I would say it holds only half the charge of the OEM battery. You get what you pay for.
Works For Me June 9, 2008 This product works well in my Canon 1100 IS digital elph camera. The price is amazing and the capability, as far as I can tell, is identical to the Canon battery which costs up to six times more. I'm thinking about buying another one so I can have a third battery around in case I forget to charge the backup--which I've done more than once! At this price, I can have an extra at home and another in the car.
