CTA Digital DB-NB4L Replacement Battery April 23, 2008 Bought this as a spare. It has more amper hours then the Canon battery. Used both at my daughters wedding and this one lasted longer. I would definately recommend it and you cannot beat the price.
Non-OEM Canon NB-4L Li-Ion Battery April 4, 2008 Great aftermarket battery. Longer run times (900mAhr v. 760mAhr) than OEM battery at about a sixth the price. Seems to work just fine with both the Camera and the OEM Canon Charger. Why wouldn't it? Don't know.
Canon is emphatic about not using anything but Genuine Canon Accessories because they may harm your camera or charger. Why would it not work and why would it harm the camera? I Don't know. I think it just hurts their sales and profits.
There are lots of other aftermarket NB-4L's out there, all deliverable for but a little more than $10. So why would anyone buy a Genuine Canon Battery and how can Canon in good conscience sell their's for 6 times the price? (or about 4 times on Amazon). That is the real question.
IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME! BARGAIN!!!!!!! March 22, 2008 I bought this generic battery as my second battery and I love it. I did not want to buy the original Canon battery because it costs a lot more and I intended to use this second one just in case my Canon runs out of juice. Before buying it, I read a lot of bad reviews about this product but decided to give it a shot anyway since it is pretty much inexpensive and would not make me bankrupt if it did not work well. FOR MY HAPPY SURPRISE IT WORKS GREAT! BELIEVE ME! I MYSELF AM NOT ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ORIGINAL CANON BATTERY AND THIS GENERIC! IT NOT ONLY CHARGES FAST BUT ALSO LASTS A LOT. Maybe the guys who wrote bad things about this generic battery got some lemons. Well it unfortunately happens! NO FEAR TO BUY!
OK as a backup March 16, 2008 I bought this battery over a year ago to use as a backup to the Canon battery that came with my SD-1000. It has fufilled this role adequately, but I have observed that it has only about half the life of my regular Canon battery. Consequently, I now use this battery principally while the Canon is recharging. I personally would not rely on this battry as my principal battery. It's interesting to note that other reviewers report experiences all over the map, from unusably short life to even longer than the Canon. It could be that there is a lot of manufacturing variation.
Very Happy with Product Shipping sucked February 28, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am extremely happy with the products I purchased. Excellent. I am no happy with the fact the company could not combine shipping so I did not have to pay twice. SHIPPING SUCKS. You would think companies would promote cheaper shipping for buying more than one item.
