Cheap!! November 12, 2008 THis is a horrible product!! It was made from very cheap plastic. The tripods were cheap. I also did not see anywhere in the ad that these are CONSTANT lights. I sent mine back, I am going to spend a little more for a better quality product.
Disaster. February 13, 2008 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
While this product looks really nice, comes with a DVD explaining everything. The bottom line is: It does not work. At least not for more than a couple of hours if you get a GOOD set. One of the lights blew a fuse presumably during my first big shoot and I had to return the whole thing. Bought another set immediately from Ritz Camera online. Amazon promised to cover the shipping. They did not. Upon receipt of the second set, a light blew in the first 5 minutes! Then, Ritz was uncooperative about the return. Obviously, this product is DEFECTIVE!
great first studio light kit February 12, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I recently purchased the three-light kit and it is perfect! Everything comes in a nicely packaged travel case. The instructional DVD is excellent. It guides you through the whole process of setting up the lights, and how to adjust them for your subject. It's very easy to use. All the portraits I have taken so far have turned out great!
Great product for your money meant to give it 5 stars September 27, 2007 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I am used to using strobes but found this constant light set to work rather well. My lights did arrive ontime but two of the lights weren't working. I called Westcott Photo Basics directly and was very happy with their great service. They had me ship the two heads back to them free of charge and was returned in a fast amount of time. The background could be a little thicker but still works well. I have my own background stands so I didn't need their hooks with adhesive strips. Also haven't used their fool proof floor mat but for people who may need it I think it is a good idea. The DVD is also ok for people who haven't photographed people. Over all this is a great set for the money.
