Having seen many, many coffee table books over the years of this genre, I was blown away by many things in this book. First and foremost is the incredible photography by Mark Henderson, one of the best in the business of photographing the male body. His photographs drip with sensuality! His lighting, use of clothing, props is exquisite, just enough to create a mood but not take away from the model. His post production takes the images a step further and creates a new level of creativity. Leafing through the book just when you think you have seen it all, Wham, bang, another great image appears. Then there is the carefully thought out layout and design of the book and I must compliment the publisher for doing a great job, very remarkable. A truly magical piece of art

A great, big, beautiful celebration of the XY form. Mark Henderson has created a gorgeous art book. These men do not feel like slabs of meat or posturing facades. Think a Technicolor Bruce Weber with only a dollop of the Leni R "Triumph of Will" deification.
Praise to the publisher, too. Thick (almost enameled?) paper, with a nice, heavyweight dust jacket.

HOUSEHOLD IDOLS : What an intensely vivid journey into the realm of masculinity this huge book is . It is hard to drink in all the color, vivid energy, and clarity on each of the many pages of this book . Each virile model seems alive and readily envelopes you with their beauty . This is a great unique work . Another awe inducing treasure of male photography at its best from the penultimate male publisher Bruno Gmunder Verlag .
