Product Description View--the monthly general interest magazine from the publishers of Stern--recently held an online competition for the best nude photographs. The winning images, chosen by Internet users as well as the editors of View, constitute the creme de la creme of amateur erotica. They convey a freshness and candor rarely seen in so-called professional work. With approaches ranging from everyday openness to stylized scenarios, these works resonate with vigor and originality. We, the readers, can share in these dreams and illusions, gazing directly at others' deepest desires. With captivating insight, this remarkable document provides insight into our collective fantasy lives.

My Nude (Photography) December 16, 2008 My Nude (Photography)
The standard of photographs was very high and the book was well bound. There is a good variety of styles in both colour and B&W. I would like to have seen a description, rationale and the intent of the image described by photographers.
Fairly disappointing and not particularly unique October 27, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think there are a lot of books on the subject matter better than this one. The images are competent, but not particularly inspirational. What I'm a bit concerned about is that would-be nude photographers will take these images as types of work to aspire to, in other words, imitate them rather than find their own vision and creative self in doing the work. Also, this is supposed to be a book about photographers' own favorites. But photographers have various reasons for having a favorite, and it might not necessarily be because it's their 'best' work. Taking a look at the images is OK, but I wouldn't pay retail for a book that I looked through once, and then just left on my bookshelf (which is what I did).
The best nude photography book in my collection September 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Now, I must admit, my collection is not terribly extensive, it is actually just about ten books long, but this one is without a doubt, the best I've gotten so far. Classy, enjoyable. The only thing against it is that it has little variety. But still, I like it a lot.
Mostly Forgettable February 19, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
A little disappointing. There are some interesting photos but as was mentioned earlier in another user review the best is on the cover with a few others smattered throughout. Overall just "good" though, not great.
Disappointing... February 11, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I was disappointed with the images in this book; the cover image is by far the most interesting and the others just go downhill from here. I thought there was little creativity in the bulk of the poses or the technical composition of the final images. There ARE many photographic portrait masters out there and some EXCELLENT collections of artistic nudes; "My Nudes" simply fails to satisfy.
