 Incredible book December 23, 2008
Simple, striking, this book has to be seen in person to be appreciated. A perfect gift for a someone who is hard to buy for. But be sure they have room... this is a big heavy book.

This book is absolutely incredible. The photos are uniquely shot and presented. Each photo seems to be in HD. Often, the animals display human qualities and features.
My wife and I have purchased at least a dozen copies of this book since it was first printed (all from Amazon). We have given copies to our closest family members, friends and colleagues as holiday and special gifts. Everyone who has received a copy has been blown away.
We highly recommend.

Extreme closeup photos of all sorts of animals, birds, and insects. The clarity is amazing. A pure white background is used to prevent distractions from everything but the subject. I bought the book because I'm a parrot lover but was astounded by every single photo. It's definitely a page-turner. It's not a book that you'll look through once, and then it'll become a dust collector. You will want to look at this book often!
