Great Book February 20, 2008 As someone who jumped into digital SLR's with a 30D and no experience or background, this was a very beneficial book; even a year later, I still refer to it when I want to read up a little more on a particular function to practice a technique, or to brush up on certain features or settings.
If you have a lot of experience with SLR's, this book may not be the best for you. I, however, found it useful, and I still reference it often.
Larger manual January 12, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I felt like if my wife could spend $1200.00 on a camera i could spend twenty bucks on how to use it. If you are a beginning photographer and have never used a high end digital SLR I would highly recommened this book. However, if you have somewhat of an understanding for photography i would pass on it. In my opinion it is just a fancier version of the instruction manual that came with the camera. It has decent illustrations and is well written. It's a nice book for anyone who has recently bought a Canon 30D and serves as a good reference book.
Great Book, Easy Read December 13, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Well written and easy to follow along with. This book made understanding the workings of my 30D easy. I hate B&W manuals that have you flipping back and fourth between pages so this book was perfect for me.
Great book for beginners. November 30, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you are new to photography and you just bought a Canon EOS 30D then this book is perfect for you. The technical level of the content is just right to keep you interested but does not insult your intiligence.
The Best October 21, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is the best book I have on the 30D. I now have the 40D but will probably wait till the author writes one for it before I buy any third party book.
