Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Photography for the Joy of It has now been updated and expanded to include technical guidelines adapted for both digital and film photographers. Patterson and his teaching partner, Andre Gallant, take a look at the basics in photography, providing clear instruction for beginning color or black-and-white photographers on choosing equipment, selecting the correct exposure, understanding depth of field and much more. Photographers learn how to make pictures with selective focus, showing motion, using flash, double or long exposures, and at night.

This edition features several never-before-published photographs from both Patterson and Gallant, and extended captions that include valuable technical information and personal commentary, illustrating the superb craftmanship and stunning photography of two of the world's most celebrated photographers.
